About this course
The Canada Course for Education Agents (CCEA) unlocks one of the world’s most popular study abroad destinations to student recruiters.
Developed in partnership with Languages Canada, the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), and the Canadian Association of Public Schools International (CAPS-i), this comprehensive course equips you with the tools and knowledge to direct students to their ideal study experience in Canada.
The CCEA syllabus includes:

- Information about the Canadian education system and its unique flexible study options.
- The application process, along with costs and scholarship opportunities.
- Insights to help you work effectively with Canadian education institutions.
- Information to help students prepare for living and studying in Canada.

After receiving certification you will join the Qualified Education Agent (QEA) network – a global directory of 10,000+ agents and the go-to source for educators seeking expert education counsellors.
There are 3 ways to take the CCEA exam:
- online
- in person at ICEF events
- in person at selected international education events
You will be notified of your results within [xx days/hours] if taking the exam online. If taken in person results are available immediately upon completion.
Successful participants will receive the Canada Course for Education Agents certificate.
There are no specific pre-requisites for taking the IEAC, however minimum English language proficiency of IELTS 5.0/TOEFL PBT 500/TOEL iBT 61 is advised.
Participation in ICEF events is not required to take the course.
Studying the CCEA is free, and delivered in a modular, self-paced format.
To receive the CCEA certification you will be required to take the final exam (CA$350). The exam fee includes up to 3 attempts (if required).
Discounts are available for multiple bookings for counsellors within the same agency or to members of educational agency associations that enter into an agreement with CCEA.
